Today would have been Michael O'Donoghue's 73nd birthday. For those who don't know of him, he wrote for the National Lampoon before becoming the first head writer of Saturday Night Live, he wrote many screenplays (including Scrooged with his writing partner Mitch Glazer...) after his passing, in '94, his wife Cheryl Hardwick (now Moore) gave me his paint by number collection, which was the basis for my collection, my artwork and my profession. He inadvertently made me an artist... he was a mentor, of sorts, and a truly great friend... still miss him.
My favorite aphorism by Michael is, "First one thing happened and then another and before they knew it, they were all dead."
