Well, pretty much ALL fashion looks dorky 30 years later… 50 years and it starts to look good again. As you may know The Devil, I mean, Anna Wintour, was the fashion editor of New York magazine from ’81 to ’83, before stopping briefly at House & Garden as editor. (She put models on the cover and during her brief tenure, the mag as dubbed “House & Garment”.) But during her time at New York, her pages were a testament to the zeitgeist of the early ’80s in all it’s forms bringing society, art, fashion insiders and “real people” together with the looks of the day. Dork out and see if you could turn any of these into your personal style today… mostly, a big NO – unless it was an 80s Drag Race challenge.
