A 3-bedroom apartment in New York’s Essex House just hit the market. No big deal, right? Except David Bowie and Iman made it their home for 10 years.
Though they sold it in 2002, but a piece of Bowie remains. A Yamaha piano once played and one by the late icon still sits in the living room, and will be passed on to the next buyer. There’s a dressing room that was designed and built to Iman’s specifications and the couple added a panic room. It has since been taken out.
The 1,877 square foot apartment (pretty small, actually, if you are a superstar) comes with those park views, a newly renovated kitchen, plenty of storage space, en-suite bathrooms, and did I mention BOWIE LIVED HERE!
The current owner purchased it for $4.45 million in 2010 and it’s now on the market for $6.5 milion. For my money, Greta Garbo‘s East Side pad is a better deal at $5.95 million.
