Raquel Welch‘s TV Special Raquel With Love was filmed in 1980 and it’s vintage trip. About 4:15, is the start of a very gay, Mine Shaft, Tom of Finland-inspired sequence shot on the subway which then lapses into a disco free-for-all. Watch.

MAN RETURNS VINTAGE "ROCKY HORROR" PHOTOS FOUND ON THE SUBWAY
A collection of vintage Polaroid photos from the set of The Rocky Horror Picture Show are back in the hands of their original owner, thanks to the good Samaritan who found them after they were lost on a New York City subway platform in 2011. Brady Marter uploaded his surreptitious find, which includes shots of Tim Curry in and out of drag, to the website Collectors Weekly several years ago, saying that he had
“found these on the platform of the C train in TriBeCa in 2011…. some have writing on the back and Frankenfurter kissed the back of one.”
Marter was surprised when Larry Viezel said in the comments section saying he’d accidentally dropped the pics,
“These were part of a collection I bought from someone in New Mexico. These were used in making The Rocky Horror Scrapbook. I had it shipped to my office (I worked on the corner of Hudson and Canal) and was taking them home. A bunch fell out of my bag and I picked them up. When I got home I realized I missed one. Looks like I missed more than one! If it’s any proof, I’d be happy to show you the rest of the collection.”
The guy that found them was working just a few blocks away from where I was working in Manhattan at the time on Hudson Street when I lost them.
But he had since moved to the south. He was very gracious and returned them. I was incredibly grateful. He asked if he could keep one of them – the photo of the model of the church. I was happy to oblige. The photos are now back with the rest of my collection. I am very happy to have them back!”
So nice of Marter to return these. I might have tried to contact the people in the pictures (I know Nell Campbell, although I haven’t seen her in years and friends know Tim Curry) Otherwise, I might have have totally kept them not even thinking that the rightful owner could be found.

AN INTERVIEW WITH THE VAN GOGH LOOK-ALIKE THAT WENT VIRAL
Last week I came across this image and posted it with the caption, “Who knew he took the subway?” My Facebook buddy, Jimmy, tagged the man in the photo and I realized there was now just one degree of separation from anyone within social media. The look-alike in question was Robert Reynolds and I reached out to find out a few things about the pic that went mega-viral:
How did this story come about?
It all started when someone took that picture of me on the subway, and posted it on Reddit, next to the Vincent Van Gough self portrait. Within 3 hours, it had nearly 300 comments, and within 4 days it had been viewed on Imgur, nearly 2 million times...How many outlets have reported it…?
I’m not sure how many outlets, exactly, but it was on Gothamist, Death & Taxes, DNAinfo, Huffington Post, Pix11 NYC, ABC News, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Hyper allergic, Daily Mail, Unilad… and other news outlets in the UK, Taiwan, & the Netherlands … those are the ones I’m aware of. I also filmed a segment for Inside Edition.Had this been a thing...? Have people always told you that you look like VVG?
I’ve been told I looked like him for about the past 6 years… since the first time I grew a beard. At least once a week, someone would approach me and point out the resemblance. What’s your attitude about the attention and people’s reactions to your appearance? Have you gotten any dates as a result..?
I love the attention. I always have. I’m an actor. As far as dates… I’m married, so not really dating. Although, I have gotten more special attention from some boys I know.An actor…? What have you been working on?
I work with a theater company called Amios, that does a show called “Shotz,”once a month. It’s six new short plays every month that are written in 2 weeks, rehearsed in 2 weeks, and performed on the 1st Monday of each month at the Kraine theater, in the east village. The next one is June 1st. That’s pretty much all I’ve been working on for the past couple years, while continually trying to focus on a Van Gogh project. I am actually in the process of developing a web series very soon, in which I’ll play Mr. VG. I just had a meeting with some filmmakers/producers just yesterday, with whom I’ve been in contact for a while.
If you’re in New York and want to see Robert at Amios, go here for more info. And if you see him on the subway, don’t try to start anything.
DANNY LYON'S AMAZING COLOR SUBWAY PHOTOS FROM HALF A CENTURY AGO
The images captured in these vintage photos by Danny Lyon were shot in 1966. You might know the Brooklyn-born Lyon from his book called The Destruction of Lower Manhattan. This year the MTA is staging an exhibition from Lyon called Underground: 1966, which was inspired by some advice from his mom when he returned to the city;
“If you’re bored, just talk to someone on the subway.”
They have never been publicly exhibited and you can check them out in their entirety for the next year at the Atlantic Avenue Barclays Station. * Note to self: take more pictures of the seemingly banal. (Photos, Danny Lyon, courtesy Edwynn Houk Gallery, New York / Zürich; via Gizmodo)
