Michael O’Donoghue, the original head writer of Saturday Night Live, started the original collection and was a good friend who was famous for his aphorisms. When anyone would say to him, “Have a nice day!”, Michael would respond straight-faced, “Don’t tell me what to do.” Hence the title of this diptych.
